Minuteman-Sales Tip of the Month

I signed up for the Minuteman Adobe® PDF JobReady™ utility a few months ago, and have enjoyed the benefits thus far. Even better, customers that use this feature benefit from the time and hassle it saves. Unfortunately, I am having problems in persuading people to use this tool. Do you have any tips on how I can get more customers to try it?

You make an interesting point. Users that try PDF JobReady usually commit to using it because of the time and hassle it saves. But many of our clients have troubles getting their customers to take the initial jump into using a new system.

First, look through the Adobe PDF JobReady Marketing Materials in the Information and Help section of your Administration Area. Here you will find a supplied press release and direct mail pieces to aid in announcing this new feature to your customers.

When using these marketing tools, consider including a special promotion such as a discount with any orders submitted through PDF JobReady. Since your primary goal is to get customers to try this utility, limit this offer to one use per customer.

Also included in your PDF JobReady Marketing Materials area is a customer tip sheet. This is a valuable asset to guide customers through using this tool. Consider loading this tip sheet to your Web site, printing the sheet out for point of purchase distribution, or linking one of your provided PDF JobReady In the Spotlight displays to this asset.

Finally, a personal touch may be needed to get some customers to convert. Talk to your print buyers and share the benefits of using this tool. If possible, give them a demonstration of the process in person. Printing is a relationship-based business, so taking the extra time to give your best customers a quick tour of this utility will not only sell them on PDF JobReady, but will sell them on your print shop as well.
